Self Discipline and Humility

Teaching our children that success isn't about just promotion and getting to the top first, but who you are inside while you are getting there is probably one of the hardest lessons to teach. Thank you Lance for your support, I could have just signed my sons paperwork and let him get his promotion, but after attending Saturdays ceremony to cheer on his classmates he hugged me and said "thanks" because he thinks he wouldn't accept his belt during the "L" part of the ceremony because he knew it would have been a lie since he hadn't truly earned it. The impact of that lesson (as hard as it was for us) has proven itself already, since Sunday morning I have not had to remind him of ANY of his responsibilities! So Thank You!
