The goal of Martial Arts is Black Belt EXCELLENCE.
The dictionary defines EXCELLENCE as being the “highest good”. There are two great reasons why Black Belt Excellence is the best goal:
First, when the goal is Black Belt Excellence – that means that you’re competing against yourself. The word “Excellence” means the highest good. That means you’re constantly striving for YOUR highest good. You’re not competing, or, comparing yourself to others! You’re only striving to be YOUR best.
The second reason why I like this goal is because it stops you from getting lazy. If you commit to a lifestyle of Excellence – you’ll never get comfortable, or lazy. The reason why is because you’re constantly striving to reach higher and higher levels of success.
